I'm baaaack!

I know, I know...I promised I'd be a better blogger, and
unfortunately, I've been the worst .  :(  But, I do have a pretty good
excuse...I've been in Vegas since last Friday!!  :::cue slot machines
and fun casino sounds:::

It literally ended up being the most last minute trip we've ever gone
on (like, we booked it a week before we went), but it was worth it!
A bunch of our friends had this trip planned for months now, and we
didn't think we could afford it, especially since we were going to take
a really nice trip for our anniversary in September.  But, now since I'
m KU'd, we probably aren't going to spend the $$ to go away
somewhere fancy anymore....sooo, we figured, what the heck!  Let's
go to Vegas!  We left early on Friday morning and got back late on
Tuesday night.  And, let me tell ya...it's quite the experience going
to Vegas and being the only one of the only sober people there!  Ha!

We ended up laying out and relaxing by the pool a lot, eating, and
walking around the strip and in all the different hotels.  It was a lot
of fun!  I definitely wish I could afford to shop in most of the stores
there (Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Jimmy Choo), but, it was fun to
pretend like I could buy anything I wanted.  ;)

And you know, while it's great to get away and be on vacation...I
was honestly so happy to get home, be with my animals, sleep in my
own bed, and get back into my regular routine.  I must be getting
old or something.  lol

I have lots of pictures to post, but, I'm at work right now (Shhhh, I'm
totally not blogging at work  ::wink wink::), so I'll put those up later
when I get home.

I did have a little scare while we were away, and I started spotting a
bit.  Now, I know it's perfectly normal to spot, and so many women
spot throughout their entire pregnancies, and I've probably read
online 3902802 times how women spot and everything is A-ok....but,
when it actually happened to ME, I freaked out.  I'm actually still
freaking out a bit, because it's still going on.  But, my first
appointment is tomorrow afternoon, so hopefully everything will be
perfect and I can relax a bit and start enjoying this pregnancy!  I
swear, I've been terrified for these past 2 weeks that something is
going to wrong...it's such a horrible feeling.  I just want to be
happy and excited and go out and buy everything I see that's baby
related some cute baby stuff, but I just can't yet.  *Fingers crossed*
that everything goes well tomorrow, and that we have a happy,
healthy jellybean growing inside of me.  :)

Hmmm, what else....

OH!  Can I tell you about my scariest experience flying that I've ever
had in my life?!  Seriously...I thought we were going to crash.  (I
know, I sound like a drama queen, but if you were there, you
probably would've thought the same thing.)

So, we're about 30 minutes from landing at the airport, and we start
making out decent down to land.  All of a sudden I look out the
window and I see nothing...we were completely engulfed in grayish/
white clouds.  Not even 2 minutes after being in those clouds, we
hit such bad turbulence and the plane literally dropped down so
quickly, that we were all lifted out of our seats and thrown in the
air, like a roller-coaster.  No joke.  Everyone on the plane screamed.
I don't think I could've gripped Hubby's arm any tighter.  All I could
do is hold on to him yelling 'OMG, OMG, OMG, OMG.'  And, to make
things worse, right after we felt like we were falling from the sky
hit the bad turbulence, the ENTIRE plane stunk of vomit.
Disgusting.  And, I got so scared that I started sweating like a pig.
So, I'm stuck in this plane, feeling like death, afraid that we're all
going to die, and trying not to vomit from the vomit smell.

Good times, let me tell ya.

It was at the exact moment that I starting praying we would get out
alive, and I vowed to never fly again (or, at least until after I give
birth).  No, thank you!

So, other than the scariest flight of my life, the trip went pretty
well! ;)

I hope you all have been having a great week!  I've been trying to
catch up on all my blogs between yesterday and today.  I'm almost
there!

Oh, and tomorrow's Friday....YAY!!  I love 2 day work weeks. :D

PS - Is Blogger being a royal PIA for anyone else today?!  Or, is it just me??  Grrrrrrr.

what a trip =) I hate plane rides for that very same reason. I hate turbulance!!!

But to help with the spotting issue. My SIL is as far along as you and she was spotting a bit last week. It freaked her out and she went to her Dr and they think it's only implantation bleeding. Easy for me to say, huh?!? It's totally scary b/c you never know but I'm sure everything is perfect!!!

Good luck!

Oh god girl! I had a very similiar experience on my plane ride from Vegas--it was TERRIBLE!!! I swear I think the lady next to me started to pray very loudly because I was freaking out! There is not a worse feeling then being on a plane with nowhere to go and feeling helpless!! Uggh!

Hope all goes well with the Dr. tomorrow! Keep us posted! xoxo

Love those last minute trips-even though the plane ride sounded scary! Never been on one, not sure I want to now! =)

As far as the spotting goes, I experienced the same thing when i was around 5 to 6 weeks along. I freaked out, cried, called my spouse, cried some more, you get the point! I just knew something was wrong. Well the doctor got me in the same day and everything was fine, normal implantation bleeding. It was more a dark brown color, (sorry if TMI) but I think after you go tomorrow for confirmation you will feel so much better! (FYI, I actually experienced spot bleeding at 10wks & 12 wks as well) Keep us updated!
