7 months!

(I know, I'm a little late...again.  Oops!)

I cannot believe that in a week in a half, my baby is going to be 8 months old already!  I've actually had people tell me that I need to start thinking about her 1st birthday party already!  Um, excuse me??  I didn't hear you correctly.  Yes, I'm in denial.

Thankfully, month 7 hasn't been much different from month 6.  My baby is still a baby...and, I'm OK with that.  ;-)

~  Still in size 3 dipes during the day, and now she's in size 4's at night.  Man, babygirl can PEE!

~  I'm actually not sure exactly how much she weighs right now.  We'll be going back to the pediatrician for her 8 month appointment in a few weeks, so we'll see then.  But, we did weigh her a week or so ago on the home scale, and she was a little over 15 pounds.  My little peanut!

~  Speaking of peanut, I have this song that I made up for her (coincidentally called 'Peanut'.  Original, I know.) that she LOVES.  Every time I start singing it, she starts rocking back and forth and dancing.  It's A-DOR-ABLE.  And, in case you're wondering, it's to the tune of 'La Cucaracha'  Yep...NO clue where that came from.  I just started singing it one day.  Hey, I told you I was weird.  :P

~  She's tried a bunch of different solids now....bananas, avocado (still hates them), pears, sweet potatoes, peas, carrots, applesauce, prunes, and oatmeal.  She loves everything except the avocado!  My little piggy...takes after her mama.  Yeeeah, buddy.  ;-)

~  She's sitting up like a champ now!  She's so strong and steady.  I love it.  Now we can finally sit on the floor and play with her toys together.  She looks like such a big girl, too!  :::sniff sniff:::

~  Still no crawling yet  thank God!  I'm SO not ready for a mobile baby yet...especially baby-proofing the whole house.

~  Since she's been eating solids, naturally, her poops are finally solid now, too!  Hallelujah!  (Yes, I'm excited about poop.  Welcome to my world.)  I'm SO glad the days of blowouts are over now (for the most part.)  And, speaking of pooping, Bella does this really cute thing while she's pushing and always grabs the side of her face/her ear.  You can always tells it's going to be a good one if she does that.  ;-)  (Another pooping side note:  Bella actually woke me up this morning because she was pushing so hard.  Poor thing!  I definitely giggled to myself, though.  Mom-of-the-year, over here.)

~  Ok, enough of the poop talk.  Sorry.  It comes with the territory.

~  She's such a little chatterbox these days!  It's so. stinkin. cute.  She says dada, gaga, baba, yaya, and a few other things that I don't know how to spell.  It's her own little language.  :-)  Still no mama, though.  We're working SO hard!  Hopefully soon.  :::sigh:::

~  Bella's still in her infant carseat, but, I know the day is coming soon when she'll have to be transferred to a convertible carseat.  So, we're finally the proud owners of these two beasts:

For my car
For Hubs' car

~  She's SO close to waving.  It's SO cute!  Her tiny little hand goes back and forth kind of like a beauty queen.  She knows what's up.  ;-)

~  If she's in the sitting position, she can pull herself up to standing by holding on to our hands.  Pretty soon she'll be pulling up on everything herself!

v  tgygfgtrfdfcf  (Bella just typed that.  She wanted to add her own comments.)

Oh yeah, and, she's still swaddled.  I swear I'm going to be swaddling this kid when she goes to college.

~  She still loves her jumperoo, and can jump like a crazy woman now.  It's so fun to watch her.  And, we finally took the changing table/infant seat out of her pack n play, so she can sit in there with all of her toys, too.  She really enjoys that, too.  It's like toy heaven in there!
See?
(Please ignore the towel.  I have to cover the whole thing at night so the stupid cat doesn't jump in and cover all her toys in cat fur.  Grrr.)

Isabella Grace,

Mommy and Daddy love you SO so much.  You are the highlight of our lives and you make every day so special.  I honestly don't know what our lives were like without you here.  You are such a happy/content baby, and you rarely every cry.  I don't know how we got SO lucky.  I love watching you grown and learn each and every day.  You really are our little miracle.  We love you to the moon and back.

xoxo,

Mama and Dada

Her new fun trick  :-(

We're starting solids other than rice cereal with Landon very soon. I look forward to no more diaper blow-outs!

She is growing and look at those long legs!!!! Yay for solid poo and no blowouts! We are celebrating that as well =). Aren't they so much fun!!!! There is nothing better! You crack me up with the swaddle! We gave that up at 5 months only bc we can't find a bigger size! Iris adapted better than I thought she would!
