It's like, Africa hot here today
Um, seriously? This is what my car said when I went out after work today. (Oh, and please ignore the dust all over my dashboard...my car needs to be cleaned like, yesterday!)
Madness!! At the end of last week I was cold and wearing my North Face every day still. I swear, New England weather is craaaaazy!
Oh yeah, and it's about 39423 degrees inside the house right now. The air conditioner is definitely ON....whew!
I hope everyone else isn't melting into a big pile of sweat right now. (lovely, huh? :P ) Stay cool, if you are!

Weekend wrap-up, and goodbye to LOST
Happy Tuesday, ladies! Sorry I didn't get a chance to do my weekend update yesterday, but, I decided to be a cleaning machine for about 3 hours when I got home from work yesterday, and by the time I was done I was pooped!! But, at least the dishes are done and all most of our clothes are clean! ;o)
Anywho, on Friday I had a girls night with some friends of mine. A bunch of us went out to dinner and then to the bar afterward. It was so much fun! The weather was great, too, so we went to one of the outside bars downtown here. I love going out during the summer and having drinks outside. It's so much better then being all bundled up and cold inside!
On Saturday I ended up sleeping in later then I should have. (Apparently I had too much fun on Friday night, especially since I thought it was a good idea to go to Wendy's at 2am. Ooops! Haha! But, it was deeeelish!) So, Saturday afternoon I just lounged around for a bit, had lunch at Olive Garden (Mmm, my fav!), and then went to Home Depot and Lowe's to get some shrubs and flowers for our yard. And I have to say, I think it was one of the first times I actually enjoyed going to those two stores! lol I'm usually SO bored walking around there with Hubs, I just want to poke my eyes out! But, this time I got to pick out all the pretty flowers and had the final say in everything. I'm so excited that our house is finally starting to look like a home! I mean, it's only been 4 1/2 years since we moved in...it's about time, right?! Doesn't our front yard look purty?!
I mean, we obviously have to actually plant the shrubs in the ground, and buy the brick and mulch to go around it, but at least it's a start! Yay! :o)
On Saturday night Hubs and I went out for dinner/drinks for one of my good friend's birthday. It was actually one of my 'wedding friend's' (and, just to clarify, my wedding friends are all my really good friends now...it's just easier to explain when each group of friends has name; wedding friends, work friends, blog friends. :oP ) birthday and a whole group of us, along with our hubbies/SO's, went out together. It was actually one of the first times that all the boys came out and met! Us girls have get-togethers and meet up all the time, but never with the guys. We all had a blast!! The food was SO good, and we went to a bar/lounge place afterward that was a lot of fun! I hope to go back there with the girls again sometime soon. :o)
Here's me and my ladies:
On Sunday, Hubs and his brother went to the new amateur jai-alai place that just opened up around here. They used to play in high school/college all the time, so they're pretty psyched that they get to play again. While they were gone, my SIL and I went for a long walk at the boardwalk/beach down the street from our houses...we only live a mile away from each other. It was the perfect day for a walk, and I definitely think we're going to do it more often! :o)
After everyone got home, we all went back to James' bro's house to watch the first part of LOST. I swear, if I had a dollar for all the times that I got teary-eyed watching the recap episode, and listening to all the actors tell their stories from six years of working on the show. Ohhhh man. Oh, and those little notes that they kept showing that the fans had written in...I was a mess! Haha!
I'm still not sure how I feel about the final episode, though. Of course they had to leave us kind of hanging, and with questions (as usual!) Are they all dead? Where they dead the whole time? Were they in purgatory? You couldn't of just wrapped it up nicely and given us a definitive answer to as why they were on that stupid island the whole time, could ya writers?! So, from what I've heard and read online, they all died at some point, and the whole 'sideways' life that was going on this whole season was just a way to get everyone back together to say goodbye? And the quote Jack said in the very first episode, 'live together or die alone', played a big part....that they all came back to live together in the after-life, since that was their happiest time together. Or something like that...
Anyways...I thought it was good, not great, but good. I'm definitely going to miss the show, and the characters (especially Jack and Sawyer! :::swoon::: ), but I'm glad I won't have to ask 3903842 questions after each episode, trying to figure out what the H just happened.
Speaking of shows I missed....did you ladies watch The Bachelorette last night?! I haven't watched it yet, but, I DRV'd it, and I can't wait to see what happened! It looks like it's going to be a good season, and even though Ali kind of annoyed me last season (I mean, seriously, how drawn out was her whole 'situation' and having to leave, and wah, wah, waaaah), I think it's going to be full of DRAMA...which I love, of course!
Alrighty then, I think I've rambled on enough. I hope you all are having a great week, so far!

Grey's Finale, shredding, and the weekend!!
***WARNING: Spoilers***
Ok, seriously....can we talk about the Grey's finale last night?!?!
I swear, I think that was the most intense two hours of television that I've ever seen!! Craziness. I mean, we're not even five minutes in the episode and Karev and Reed get shot! I literally think I peed my pants a couple of times during those two hours....just sayin'. ;)
Oh, and poor Percy. :( I couldn't stand to watch him die right there in Bailey's arms. SO sad!
Seriously (if you haven't noticed yet, I use this word a LOT), I could go on and on about last night's episode. It definitely made up for a not-so-great season this year! I can't wait to see what next season brings!
Oh, and just one more thing about Grey's. This is my new boyfriend, just in case you wanted to know. And, don't worry, the Hubs knows about it...it's all good. ;)

Also, just to keep you all up to date....I've completed Day 2 of the 30 Day Shred! I know it's not much, but, I'm getting there. I plan on doing it again this weekend, so that will be 3 times in one week...that sounds like progress to me, right?? :) Level 1 of this DVD is pretty darn hard for me right now, so I'm a little worried to see what Level 2 brings! Haha! I'll definitely let you know how that goes when I get to that point.
Lastly, it's finally Friday!! YAY! I feel like this has been one long week, for some reason. Tonight I'm having dinner/drinks with some girlfriends, so that should be fun! And, it's absolutely GORGEOUS out today, so hopefully we'll go out tonight somewhere where we can get drinks outside. I love warm nights of drinking outside...it makes the night so much better. :) Then, tomorrow night Hubs and I are going out for dinner/drinks for a good friend's birthday! I'm SO excited...I feel like I haven't seen my 'wedding girls' (that's what I call them, since we all met while wedding planning. :P ) in a while, and we always have so much fun together. It should be a blast! Hopefully I'll have to pictures to post from the weekend on Monday.
As of right now, we have no plans on Sunday....so, I plan on relaxing and spending the day with Hubby. I love lazy Sundays. Hopefully the weather will be just as nice as it is today, too! That would be a plus!
Oh, I almost forgot! I do have one thing planned on Sunday....another HUGE finale! This should be another intense couple of hours. I can't wait!!
I hope you ladies all have a great weekend, whatever you do! :)

Wishful Wednesday....Dream Bedroom
Come on over to Kelsey's blog and play along in her 'Wishful Wednesday' post! It's one of my favs. :o)
'I wish' I could come home to
THIS bedroom!!
I actually have 2 choices (I'm cheating!) for this topic....
My first choice bedroom would be at my 'dream home'...one I'll probably never have in real life, but, would DIE for! ;o)
Come on...look at that view!!
And, this is the bedroom I'd love to have in my actual home! I mean, a fireplace in the bedroom?! Seriously....love it!
I mean, look at all that ROOM!! I could do cartwheels down the middle of it! haha I think our bedroom now is about the size of that rug. ;o) Seriously though, it's SO small. I would just love to have a bedroom that Hubs and I can actually walk around in and not bump into each other! Ahhhh, someday.
Happy Hump day, ladies!! Only 2 more days until the weekend...woot woot!

It's time to take back control...
of my body, that is! Since I started TTC, I would always tell myself, 'soon enough I'll be pregnant, and I won't have to worry about losing weight or that flab that's been growing around my tummy anymore!'
Well, here I am over 6 months later. I'm obviously not pregnant yet...and now I just feel fat. I'm not working out at ALL, I'm eating like crap, my clothes are getting tighter and tighter, and my sex life would be much better if I was feeling better about myself! lol Seriously, it's SO true. I lost about 20 lbs. a few years ago, and all DH can talk about was how great our sex life was back then (not that it's bad now...it was just better then. :P ), since I felt sexy and just healthy overall. So, something definitely needs to change!
Since I obviously can't control what my body wants to do baby-wise, I figured it's about time I start taking control of my health and fitness. It can only help that I'm in the best shape that I can be while TTC, right? Starting tomorrow, I'm going to start eating better and working out at least 3-4 times a week! I've had a gym membership for well over a year now (and I think I can count on one hand how many times I've been there this year), with all different kinds of classes included, so I definitely need to start taking advantage of that ASAP. And, I started doing Jillian Michaels' 30 day Shred a while back and LOVED it, so I'm going to start doing that again, too.
Ladies, you are all my witnesses! I have to stick with this, and get into a routine....no matter what! I think that's the hardest part, too...getting and staying in a routine. Now, I don't know if anyone wants to know or even cares about my workouts, but, I'm hoping by talking about it on here and writing it down, it will help me stay motivated and focused on my main goal....being a healthier, happier ME. Wish me luck!! :)
Oh, and here's some of my motivational pictures....not that I'll ever look like any of these girls, but hey, it's fun to dream! ;)

Any help/tips would be appreciated!! :)

I'm excited to share with you ladies a few more pictures of our wedding day! Everything was absolutely perfect,(well, almost everything...but only I know the few details that went wrong. ;) ) and I wish I could re-live this day over and over again.

Top 2 Tuesday...Dream Houses!
Oooh, I'm loving this week's pick for TT2! I could probably go on for days with my top dream houses...seeing as how tiny our house is (864 square feet, to be exact), I tend to think about the day we'll have our dream home, a LOT. I cannot wait for that day to come! So, until that happens....I'm fine with dreaming, BIG. ;)
So, I don't have one particular dream home. I like a lot of different things, and different styles....so I'm just going to post anything and everything that I love. :)
(This house would be perfect for our little family. ;o) )
Like I said, I could go on forever! ;)

~Miscellany Monday~
Hello lovelies! I know it's Monday, but, I hope everyone's day is going well, so far. :)
It's my first time playing along with the 'Miscellany Monday' post over at @ Carissa's blog. This is definitely my kind of post! I'malways usually really random, so this is perfect. Click on her link below if you want to play along!
2. Well, sorry about that! I didn't plan on going off on a rant/tangent like that.
It's my first time playing along with the 'Miscellany Monday' post over at @ Carissa's blog. This is definitely my kind of post! I'm
1. I hope all you Mommies and Mommies-to-be out there had a wonderful day yesterday!! I can't wait until the day the I can celebrate Mother's Day with my own family! Hubs and I went to brunch yesterday with my mom and grandma, and then we went over to his mom's house for a few hours. Overall, it was a really nice day.
Unfortunately though, I've had a very rocky relationship with my mom over the past 15 years or so. There was a period in our lives when we didn't talk for about 8 years....that was tough. But, everyone has family issues, right? Thankfully, we're now in a very good place, and I couldn't be more appreciative for everything my mom has done for me over the past couple of years. But, I don't think we'll ever have that best friend, mother/daughter relationship that most girls have with their moms....and I'm OK with that.
Now my dad on the other hand...that's a whole other blog post. lol My relationship with my parents seem to have a pattern over the years....when things are going great with one, the other one does something awful and isn't in the picture anymore, and vice versa. One of these day I'll really open up, and tell you alll about my family drama. But, who wants to hear that sad stuff, right?? All I know is, after everything our family's been through, I will love my own children no matter what, unconditionally, and they will ALWAYS knows that.
2. Well, sorry about that! I didn't plan on going off on a rant/tangent like that.
3. Coming up sometime soon, I plan on blogging all about our bathroom/basement renovation we've done at our house over the past year. I'm SO excited about it, and I couldn't be happier with the finished products. I mean, who doesn't want a pink and blue tiled bathroom...with a blue tub, sink, and pink and blue tiles all over the wall?? Don't worry, that's what our bathroom used to look like. ;) Here's a sneak peek of our new finished basement:
(I think Bailey, Roxy, and Fozzie are loving our new basement even more than we are!)
4. Today is the first time this year that I think my allergies are really starting to bother me. Ever since I got home from work, I've been all sneezy, sniffly, and stuffed up. Boooo. Hopefully a good night's sleep will help.
5. I really want to get a Droid. I've had my Blackberry for over a year or so, and it's really been annoying me lately. I'm so over the stupid roller-ball thing, and I'm ready for something new! Does anyone have a Droid? Would you recommend it??
6. I just found out this weekend (by reading my US Weekly, of course!) that Jeffery Dean Morgan (aka Denny on Grey's Anatomy) and Hilarie Burton (aka Peyton on One Tree Hill) 'secretly' had a baby a few months ago! Seriously? 1 - How could they keep something like that a secret?! I didn't even know those two were dating, let alone having a baby together. And 2 - How could Denny do that to me?? Didn't he know that he was on 'my list'?? (Any 'Friends' fans out there?? My absolute favorite show EVER. I've seen every.single.episode...and could probably quote 95% of the episodes I've seen.)
7. I started spotting yesterday, and I'm all crampy/back-achey today. That's all I have to say about that.
8. I'm really looking forward to all the good TV this week....One Tree Hill, Real Housewives of NJ, 90210, The Hills/City, LOST, Grey's....can you tell I'm a TV junkie?? ;)
Alrighty, I think I've rambled on enough with my random thoughts. I hope you all have a great week!

A fun game! 8x8
Thanks to the beautiful Mrs. Hesson @ Meet the Hesson's! She tagged me in this fun little game!
Here are the rules:
1. Go to your photos files and select the 8th photo folder.
2. Select the 8th photo in that folder.
3. Post that photo along with the story behind it.
4. Then challenge 8 blogging friends to do the same.
Haha, awesome picture, huh?? If you can't tell...this is a picture I took of the tv, after the ball dropped on New Year's Eve this past year! That was such a fun night! The hubs and I went over to his brother and SIL's house, along with his other brother and SIL and their kids. We played games, ate, and drank...a nice 'low-key' New Year's. It was great! Here's another pic of the hubs and me from that night...
Oh, and since I thought this post was really cute/fun...I'm not going to pick just 8 of you to participate. I want you all to do it! :) It'll be a fun way to see some random pictures of everyone, and hear all of your stories about things that you normally wouldn't blog about.
Annnnnd, GO!!
I hope you're all having a fabulous weekend!! :D

Um, *hello* body...what are you doing to me??
Warning: This might be a little TMI for some...but, when you're TTC, nothing's really TMI in my book. ;)
Ugh, I'm so frustrated/confused with my chart right now! As of this morning, Fertility Friend had me ovulating 3 days ago...which I assumed was the case, too, since I had a +OPK that day. And, since I started charting 3 months ago, I've only gotten one +OPK each month, and always ovulated on that same day. So, stupid me assumed my body was doing the same thing as usual, and that I ovulated on May 1st. And, that would also make our timing to be pretty good, since we had sex the day before and the day of ovulation.
Well, not so much anymore. For the first time since we've started TTC, I had EWCM today (egg-white cervical mucus), with some brown spotting mixed in. And when I entered that data into my chart, it doesn't say that I ovulated on May 1st anymore. Apparently my chart is just as confused as I am! Grrrr.
So, I'm kind of at a loss right now. I'm afraid that we missed our window of opportunity if it ends up that I ovulated yesterday or even today. :( I plan on seducing the hubs tonight into some sexy time, but, hopefully I'm not too late! Please keep your fingers crossed for me, ladies!
Anyways, sorry this ended up being a rant/vent post. And, I'm sorry if I bored any of you or grossed you out completely. lol Oh, the joys of trying to have a baby! ;)

Top 2 Tuesday...Splurges!
It's that time of the week again! I feel like I haven't done a T2T post in a while...I've missed it!

Make sure you head over to Taylor's blog to link up and play along! :)
Make sure you head over to Taylor's blog to link up and play along! :)
Top 2 Splurges
1. Designer Jeans
Love, love, LOVE me some jeans. Seven for all Mankind, Citizens of Humanity, Joe's Jeans, Hudson...I'm a little obsessed. But, seriously...who doesn't love an awesome pair of jeans that make your legs and butt look amazing?!
2. Designer handbags
I have to say, I'm kind of a Coach wh*re. Since they're (in my opinion) reasonably priced when it comes to a designer handbag, I ask for a new bag at any change I get! Christmas, birthdays, Valentine's Day, 'I-just-got-a-BFN-and-I'm-feeling-really-sorry-for-myself' Day. ;) Ok, so maybe I'm exaggerating just a teensy bit, but, what girl doesn't love a new handbag?!
I hope everyone has a great week!! :)

NYC = Fail
Unfortunately, I woke up today not feeling so hot (who let me have that glass of wine at 1am?!), so we had to take a rain-check on the NYC day trip. Boooo. :(
But, it's probably a good thing we didn't go today anyways....a car bomb was found last night in Times Square and they had to shut it down for hours! SO scary!! Thankfully, it didn't go off or anything...but, they said if it did, it could have been a 'very deadly event.' Wow....crazy.
So, we're still planning on doing something today...but, it'll probably be a little more low key. We haven't decided yet, though. That's the thing about CT...there's tons to do in the surrounding states/areas, but, CT itself is so bor-ing. Hopefully we'll find something semi-exciting/fun to do! :)
I hope you all have a nice, relaxing Sunday on this beautiful day! And, if the weather's not so nice where you are...enjoy the day curled up on the couch or in bed, with a good book or (if you're a tv junkie like me) with your DVR'd shows. ;)

NYC...here we come!
I hope everyone's having a great weekend!! The weather here has been PERFECT, so far....and I couldn't be happier! :) So, hubs and I have decided that we're going to be spontaneous (seriously, we need to do this more often!) tomorrow, and head to NYC for the day. Ahhhh, I'm SO excited! It's going to be absolutely gorgeous out tomorrow (around 75/80 degrees)...the perfect day to walk around the city. I've actually never been to Central Park before, so we're planning on hitting that up for part of the day, and then just go from there. I love days like that....no specific plan or anything, just go with the flow.
So, hopefully I will be back tomorrow night or Monday with lots of pictures of our adventures!!
Oh, and I definitely plan on stopping here to have a cupcake (or 5!)...Mmmm!!
