It's time to take back control...

of my body, that is!  Since I started TTC, I would always tell myself, 'soon enough I'll be pregnant, and I won't have to worry about losing weight or that flab that's been growing around my tummy anymore!'

Well, here I am over 6 months later.  I'm obviously not pregnant yet...and now I just feel fat.  I'm not working out at ALL, I'm eating like crap, my clothes are getting tighter and tighter, and my sex life would be much better if I was feeling better about myself!  lol  Seriously, it's SO true.  I lost about 20 lbs. a few years ago, and all DH can talk about was how great our sex life was back then (not that it's bad now...it was just better then.  :P ), since I felt sexy and just healthy overall.  So, something definitely needs to change!

Since I obviously can't control what my body wants to do baby-wise, I figured it's about time I start taking control of my health and fitness.  It can only help that I'm in the best shape that I can be while TTC, right?  Starting tomorrow, I'm going to start eating better and working out at least 3-4 times a week!  I've had a gym membership for well over a year now (and I think I can count on one hand how many times I've been there this year), with all different kinds of classes included, so I definitely need to start taking advantage of that ASAP.  And, I started doing Jillian Michaels' 30 day Shred a while back and LOVED it, so I'm going to start doing that again, too.

Ladies, you are all my witnesses!  I have to stick with this, and get into a routine....no matter what!  I think that's the hardest part, too...getting and staying in a routine.  Now, I don't know if anyone wants to know or even cares about my workouts, but, I'm hoping by talking about it on here and writing it down, it will help me stay motivated and focused on my main goal....being a healthier, happier ME.  Wish me luck!!  :)

Oh, and here's some of my motivational pictures....not that I'll ever look like any of these girls, but hey, it's fun to dream!  ;)

 Seriously, look at those legs!!

I'll take her arms, please

Gorgeous!

What's YOUR workout routine??  What keeps you ladies motivated??  Any specific songs to keep you going?

Any help/tips would be appreciated!!  :)

I'll take Kelly's arms and Carrie's legs ANY DAY!! :)

There is so much pressure on women these days...I hate it, but I also know that when I start to see results, it's all I can think about. Eating, living and breathing the gym and healthy foods!

Good Luck!! You know I am right here with you to help motivate and support you!! :)

I've heard that it takes 14 days for your mind and body to stick to a routine....so here's to the next hardest, most important 14 days!

Love ya, girlfriend! :)

Awww don't stress out about it! Ever since we got married I have been in a real big rut, too. It sucks! But try not to fret too much about it. I always feel so much better when I work out, but actually doing it is the tricky part. Ha! Good luck! You know you have tons of supporters. :)

Good luck! You're going to do awesome.

Like you, I do the Shred, but I've also been running and riding my bike. The motivational music changes by the day, but Motiontraxx is a good source of free workout mixes if you do cardio.

Good for you, I think that's great. Women who are healthy and work out have a higher chance of conceiving also. I'm just sayin :)

Too funny because I need to get my butt back on the treadmill, but I keep thinking "Well, we are TTC at the end of the month, what if I get pregnant fast and will gain weight anyway?" I know that's a bad way to think, but I'm glad I'm not the only one! I need to follow your lead and get back to eating better and exercising more!

Oh geeze, add me to the list of girls that wouldn't mind to lose a few! In all actuality, I really need to lose quite a few lbs but it is such a struggle for me. I have battled my weight my entire life and sometimes just feel like giving up. Currently I'm trying to stay motivated to go on long walks with some jogging in there a couple times a week. We also want to have a little one soon so I know my body should be in better shape. *sigh* I definitely feel so hopeless sometimes! Good luck to you!
