I'm still here....

and, Isabella is not. 

On top of that...I've made pretty much NO progress over the last couple of weeks in the cervix/uterus/labor department.  No dialation, no effacement, nothing.  Booooo.  :-(

I had a doctor's appointment yesterday afternoon, and the Dr. said he'd be 'astounded' if I went into labor over the next week or so...and, if he were to bet on it, I'll probably be a week or so late.  Great.  Thanks, Doc.

Ugh, I'm sorry for venting/whining, but, I'm at that point where I'm SO READY to meet my baby girl.  Like, it literally hurts my heart to think about the fact that she's not here yet.  And, it's especially frustrating when I feel like everyone around me is going into labor already...and half of those people are due AFTER me!  xlkjsaofjaosifjweoij

I was explaining to my friend today....right now I feel the way I did in the weeks/months before I got engaged.  I knew it was going to happen at some point, and I was SO excited I could cry...but, it literally felt like a dream.  Like it was never going to happen.  I would just sit there every day and imagine what it would be like; how he would propose, what my ring would look like, how I would feel...but I felt like it was a million years away, even though it could've happened at any point in time.  I just didn't know when. 

That's how I'm feeling now, and it's so exciting/frustrating at the same time.  I hate not knowing if/when something is going to happen.  Will my water break tonight?  Will I still be here in 2 weeks with a baby in my belly?  OR, will nothing happen at all over the next 3 weeks and I'll have to be induced??  Ahhhhh!!  I'm driving myself crazy over here...if you couldn't tell. 

Anyways...I just needed to let out my frustrations a bit.  Thanks for listening, if you've made it through my rambling.  ;-)

Ha...wellll, I started learning to crochet a month or so ago, but I've since given up.  I'd like to start trying again, actually...I just need to find a few easy/slow-teaching videos I can watch to learn.  I realized that I lose my patience very easily when I can't do something.  It was very frustrating.  

And, that's all for today!  I hope everyone's having a good day/week.  We had a pretty decent snow/ice storm last night, so I stayed home from work today.  I've been a lazy bum allll day, and I love it!  :-)  Seriously...I hate Blogger right now!  It's making the spacing all weird and funky, even though I've 'fixed' it about 27 times.  Grrrrr.   Sorry about that.

My baby shower...and, we picked a name! :)

My baby shower was about 2 weeks ago, and we got some amazing gifts from all of our family and friends.  It really is crazy how much stuff a baby needs!  I don't know what we would have done if it wasn't for everyone at my shower.  I'm so grateful for everything we/Baby B received!

36 weeks!

I know I'm almost at 37 weeks (full term!!) at this point, but, I figured I'll do the survey now, and just share 37 week pictures this weekend.  I doubt there will be much change in my answers, anyways. 

Um, seriously...where have the past 36 weeks gone???

•  How far along?  36 weeks

• Total weight gain:  At my appointment last Thursday, I was up 31 lbs. total.

• Maternity clothes?  Always...and they're getting smaller and smaller as the weeks go by!

• Stretch marks?  Just a few more on my boob.  *Fingers crossed* it stays that way!

• Sleep:  Surprisingly, it's gotten better.  I pee twice a night now, but, I usually fall right back to sleep, and I don't wake up in so much pain anymore.  Yay!

• Best moment this week?  Knowing I have less than 30 days (23 days, exactly!) to go until we meet our little princess!!  

• Movement?  All the time!  She gets the hiccups all the time, too....she actually has them right now.  ;)

• Food cravings?  Still love candy/sweets

• Labor signs?  Not really.  My back has been a little crampy, but, nothing exciting.

• Belly button:  At this point, I don't think it's going to pop out...just stay flat. 

• What I miss?  Not having swollen feet/ankles/calves/knees 

• What I'm looking forward to: Meeting our baby girl in 3 weeks!!

• Milestones?  This Friday I'll be considered full term!!  I can't believe it.  :)

So much to blog about!

There's been a lot going on around here these days, and I'm definitely going to blog about it all over the next week or so.  I can't wait to share everything with you all!  :)  Here's what's coming up:

• 36 week survey/bump pic
• Nursery sneak peek!  Mostly everything is set up and ready to go...I just need to decorate the walls, dresser, etc.
• We finally picked a name!!  :D
• Pictures from my baby shower

So, those are the few big things going on.  Of course, I'm sure I'll throw in lots of random-ness/rambling on top of all of that.  And, as a new mom, I have about 3094 questions for all you veteran moms out there that know what you're doing.  ;-)  I actually plan on packing my hospital bag today (again, where has the time gone?!  I'm packing my bag already??  Craziness!), and I want to make sure I have everything I need/want in there.  I'm definitely the type-A personality, so I know I'll probably pack WAY too much...but, I'd rather be prepared than not.  

Any suggestions for things I should definitely bring to the hospital??  Anything that I don't need to bother bringing?  Any help/suggestions would be great!

35/35! And, my baby shower is TOMORROW!!

I'm alive!  And, I can't believe how time has flown by these past 2 weeks or so.  I know, I know...I really feel like I say this in every blog post now, but, it's SO true.   I mean, my freaking baby shower is tomorrow!!  Ahhhh, I'm sooo excited!!

I honestly think that this baby has sucked all the life out of me, though, because I've had absolutely NO energy lately.  Hence, no blog posts.  I've even been so tired that I can't even read everyone else's blogs.  It's been that bad...so, I apologize for being lazy and for my lack of posting/commenting.  I've been thinking about you all, though, and I hope everyone is doing well!  I miss you ladies!

Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of time right now.  My sister is here from California for my shower, and I'm about to get ready so we can go out and run the million and one errands we have to do for tomorrow.  But, I just wanted to post really quick and say hello, and let you know that I'll definitely be posting about my shower soon, and the fact that I'm 35 weeks (with only 35 days left until my due date!  Holy crap!)  And, hopefully I'll have lots of shower pics to share with you all, too.  :-)
