*Magazines*

Seriously, I think I have an addiction.  I love, love, LOVE getting magazines in the mail.  It's one of the smallest things that makes me so happy.  I swear, it's like a drug to me.....I can't stop.  lol 

As of right now, these are the magazines that I'm subscribed to:

• US Weekly
• Self
• Shape
• Fitness
• People StyleWatch
• Cosmopolitan

And, that's me cutting back.  I used to also be subscribed to (in addition to those above):

• Allure
• All You
• Brides
• Modern Bride
• Elegant Bride....all of these while wedding planning, of course

It's crazy!  And, if it wasn't for my work already subscribing to them, I would also have Glamour, InStyle, and In Touch weekly sent to my home. 

Hey, at least it's only little things that make me happy.  Now, if I were to have an obsession with Christian Louboutin shoes or something, then we'd have a problem.  Which, to make myself clear....I DO have obsession with these shoes...it's just that my wallet doesn't.  ;-)

New look

If you couldn't tell, I get bored very easily with my blog layouts....I used to be same way with my Myspace layouts, when I had a Myspace page.  So, I like to change it up more often than not.  And, I thought this new layout was kind of Valentines-ish....goes with the season.  :)

**Sunday randoms**

First off, the most exciting thing that's happened all week.....I finally got an almost positive OPK yesterday!!  Woohoo!  So, I'm pretty sure today will be the day.  I'm SO psyched.  And of course, I had to get a picture to remember this special day by.  lol

So, other than that, nothing too exciting going on in the life of the Bruneau's.  We're finishing our basement, so that's been the latest project going on.  Thankfully I'm at work all day when the guys are here working, because all the banging, drilling, and hammering are definitely not fun to listen to when you're trying to relax at home and watch tv.  I'm just hoping that they will be finished sooner than later, and I can't wait to see the finished product!  We'll finally have 2 full bathrooms, and be able to shower/get ready at the same time if we have to.  Woohoo!!  I can't wait.

On a different note....I've done a lot of online shoe shopping this past week or so, and 2 of the 3 pairs I ordered were delivered already!  I love me some new shoes.  :)  I actually got 3 pairs of boots, since the only thing I've ever worn in the past 2 years is my tall chestnut Uggs.....which I still love and wear all the time, but, I wanted to get some boots that were a little nicer, and something I could wear out and feel a little more dressed up in.  So, here are my purchases....

 

So far I've gotten the Uggs and the brown boots, and I LOVE them.  I'm a little nervous about the black boots, though.  I've never been much of a flat boot kind of girl, but, I'm hoping since they look so cute on everyone else, that they'll look OK on me.  Hopefully they'll come sometime this week!

I hope everyone's having a great weekend!  Cross your fingers for me that this month is our 'baby making' month!  ;-)  I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much, but, it's definitely hard not to!

Oh how I love my husband....

He really makes me laugh....a LOT.

Last night, after getting home from work, DH is in the bathroom doing his 'business'.  Meanwhile, for the past 2 nights, I've used the ovulation sticks, and I have them lined up on the back of the toilet so I can see the line get darker each day.  (Thanks, Kendra!  :-) )  So, as he's standing there peeing, looking at the tests, he yells to me from the bathroom...."Hey babe!  Can I pee on one of these sticks and see if I can make it turn pink??"

::sigh::  All I can do is laugh.

Fast forward 24 hours.....

I'm sitting on the couch relaxing after work, watching one of my DVR'd shows.  DH decides he's going to go in the bedroom and watch tv....since General Hospital really isn't his thing.  ;-)  Anyways....he proceeds to tell me, as he's walking down the hall....."Babe, I think you should come in the bedroom with me so we can practice making babies.  That way, when you're actually ovulating, all the little sperms will know what to do and they'll go, *in high pitched voice* 'Hey guys!  Follow me....this way to the uterus!'"

Seriously?!  Where does he come up with this stuff??  LOL

I love my husband.  :D

OPK #1

= BFN. Booooo.

I mean, I guess I shouldn't be too surprised since it's only CD8....but, I just was hoping since my cycles have been getting shorter and shorter that I was O'ing a lot earlier than I assumed.  I guess I was a little too early.  lol

Oh well....positive thoughts!  On to CD9, and OPK #2.  Maybe tomorrow will be the day!

Ugh, damn AF

I knew she was coming.....and of course she made herself known at almost 12am on the dot last night.  Why does she always think that coming in the middle of the night is a good idea?  Does she really think I enjoy getting woken up with cramps so bad that I can barely walk??  Bitch.

Ok, vent over....sorry.

So, on to CD 1 again.  I'm getting a little confused about my cycles since going off of BCP, though.  The first month, my cycle was 31 days, the next one was 27 days, then 25 days, and now this last one was 24 days.  Is it ever going to stop going down and level off?  It's making me think that I'm O'ing a lot sooner than I've been assuming I was....which is probably why I'm not pregnant yet.   Hmmmm, I guess I'll just have to wait and see if the OPK's work and when I'm actually O'ing.

Eeeeek, SO excited!

Oh, and I was wrong...there definitely is something to look forward to this winter - making BABY B!!!  :D

Christmas is officially over.....

The Christmas tree and decorations are all down and everything's put away.  :-(  This is always such a sad day for me.  I feel like it was just yesterday that we brought everything down from the attic and started decorating!  Why does it always seem like every year the entire month of December flies by?  Now we're on to cold, dreary days with not much to look forward to until it starts getting warm again.  Ugh, why do I live in this state again?  I'll take the warm, sunny beaches in California or Florida any day!  Now if someone could just convince my husband that this is a great idea as well, that would be awesome.  ;-)

On a more exciting note.....I bought my first OPK yesterday!  I'm pretty psyched, and I really hope it works.  **crosses fingers**  Seeing that I'm almost positive that AF is on her way, I'm sure I'll be able to test these babies out this next cycle.  Woohooo...can't wait!
